The Temple Bar, which evolved over the years from a skid row hangout to a dive hipster joint, will reopen after being closed since May when a porton of the front facade collapsed.
Metro Times reporter Steve Neavling reports that the bar should reopen Tuesday if all goes as planned.
He reports:
The nearly 100-year-old bar passed its final state inspection Friday, and now it’s just waiting for regulators to release its liquor license from escrow, which is expected to happen by Monday, says owner George Boukas.
The building at 2906 Cass Ave., near Little Caesars Arena, was reportedly empty at the time of the building collapsed and sustained no damage inside.
