Bobcat Bonnie's, a bar and restaurant which first popped up in Detroit's Corktown in 2015, subsequently added locations around the state.
Now, the local franchise is contracting.
It plans to close its Wyandotte location Sunday, the third outlet to close since August, Crain's Detroit Business reports. The other two locations were in Clinton Township and Ypsilanti.
The latest closure will leave four locations -- Corktown, Ferndale, Lansing and Kalamazoo.
In a posting several days ago on Facebook, the company posted:
Since 2017 we have proudly been a part of one of the most magical parts of Downriver- in the heart of Wyandotte where we have served you for 8 years! It feels wild to think that we opened after Bourbon’s, closed, re-opened a year later, and then again after COVID and a major revamp/remodel. We’ve always tried to re-vamp and reenergize this amazing space!
In those 8 years- we brought national TV shows to Wyandotte, Igloo dining (a year before it would be required for a bit), and we did so much to present all of our new, cool ideas to Wyandotte before we rolled them out to the rest of the stores. Even now, our Wyandotte dining room is hands down one of the coolest designed ones we have. We have had such a wild and fun run with you all, but now it is time for us to continue our goal of making ourselves a bit smaller, focusing harder on what made Bobcat the place you loved, and getting back on track with service, food, and community.
