Tigers fans should rejoice.

The team signed ace right-hander Jack Flaherty to a two-year, $35 million deal, MLB.com reports. The deal has an opt-out option after 2025.

Flaherty will earn $25 million in 2025, with a $10 million player option for 2026 that increases to $20 million with 15 games started this season, MLB.com reports.

MLB.com reported:

Flaherty’s success with the Tigers in 2024 made him one of the most coveted starters on the trade market this past summer. The Dodgers ended up acquiring Flaherty from Detroit shortly before the Trade Deadline on July 30 to bolster their injury-riddled rotation, bringing aboard a pitcher who was born in the area and attended Harvard-Westlake High School in Los Angeles.
